Beast member Yong Junhyung revealed a selca for his fans after a long absence.
On the 23rd of March, he posted a photo on his Twitter with the words ” Lately I have not shown my face (so I uploaded this picture)”.
In the photo, Junhyung is wearing a black roundneck T-shirt with a leopard print hat. His neat style and still handsome appearance even without any makeup attracted attention.

BEAST DEBUTS ON JAPAN’S ORICON DAILY CHART AT 2ND PLACE
Six member Korean boy group Beast’s debut Japanese single ‘Shock’ ( released on the 16th) managed to sell 290,000 copies in its first week. It achieved 2nd place on Japan’s Oricon Daily Chart on the 28th of March, beating the record set by Big Bang’s ‘ Heaven’ which managed to get 3rd place on the same chart in 2009. This is the best record ever achieved by a newly-debuting non-Japanese Asian group.

Singer Yangpa will be releasing a new album in 4 years.
This album is also attracting focus due to the participation of popular artists. Hweesung had composed her minor pop ballad title song, ‘It Hurts’ and BEAST’s Yoon Doojoon had featured in her other song in her album, ‘Bon Appetit’.

B2ST’s Junhyung will finally stand on stage as Wheesung’s rapper
Singer Wheesung will finally be joined by his original guest-rapper, B2ST’s Junhyung, for his ‘Words that Freeze My Heart’ performances on music programs.
Last week, Wheesung
had stood on stage with INFINITE’s Hoya because Junhyung’s group activities made it difficult for him to coordinate with Wheesung’s schedules. As such, Hoya had filled in for Junhyung on all three major broadcast programs.
However, Junhyung had strongly expressed his desire to stand on stage with his sunbae Wheesung, even if it meant changing up his group’s schedule. Reportedly, Junhyung said, “It was hard to stand on Wheesung’s comeback stage as I was chased by B2ST’s group activities, but I want to reschedule so I can make the respected sunbae’s stage shine more.”
The rapper’s ardent wish was finally granted, and now he’ll be performing alongside Wheesung for this week’s episodes of ‘M!Countdown’, ‘Music Bank’, ‘Show! Music Core’, and ‘Inkigayo’.
Wheesung has expressed his anticipation for the collaborative stage, and complimented Junhyung with, “A rapper who can control the tempo of emotion and logic with both skill and appeal”.
Their first stage of ‘Words that Freeze My Heart’ will be performed on March 24th’s episode of ‘M!Countdown’.

Despite hitting jackpot with 2nd place in Japan Oricon charts jackpot, why are there only sighs?
Even though BEAST has come in 2nd as the debut single on the Oricon daily chart they are sighing with worries.
According to the Japan Oricon style, the debut single ‘Shock’ BEAST has presented this day sold a total of 10,902 copies of their album and got ranked 2nd place.
The record of 10 thousand copies BEAST has sold is similar to the first single sales of Kara and SNSD who are currently on a jackpot procession. Given that Japan is at a chaotic situation due to the earthquake and the nuclear danger, it is a huge accomplishment. It is an example that shows us that there is a chance BEAST will be the strongest male idol in the k-pop wave continuing the girl group solo system.
But to BEAST, this result isn’t just pleasing. This is due to the quake nightmare and nuclear danger currently in Japan that they’re worrying about.
One official said “It’s not a situation that we should only be happy” and “Even the agency members have more worries about the Japanese fans”.
BEAST was originally supposed to go to Japan in mid-March and promote but actually have cancelled this due to the quake aftermath.

BEAST AND SUPERNOVA TO APPEAR ON THE RUNWAY IN BRIDEGROOM STYLE
Korean idol groups Beast and Supernova together with girl group 4Minute will perform at fashion designer Yumi Katsura’s bridal fashion exhibition.
Although this exhibition is held every year, this year’s event the [YUMI KATSURA PARIS 2011 GRAND COLLECTION IN TOKYO] will be the biggest exhibition held since the very first bridal collection exhibition in Japan in the year 1965 due to the participation of the 3 groups.
Now in its 70th anniversary, this event titled Renaissance Japan is a world class representation of traditional Japanese culture.
Besides appearing on the Runway for the first time, Supernova will be wearing wedding attire designed by Yumi Katsura herself that incorporate ‘Japanese Taste’. Beast and 4Minute will also be appearing on the runway. The three different groups will be wearing different styles to perform on stage.
The [YUMI KATSURA PARIS 2011 GRAND COLLECTION IN TOKYO] will be held on the 23rd of February ( Wednesday ) at the Ryogoku Kokugikan arena in Tokyo. Two performances will be held at 2PM and 7PM. Supernova will perform during the 2PM session whereas Beast will perform during the 7PM session. 4Minute will take part in both performances. Other performers who will make an appearance are flower artist Shogo Kariyazaki, calligrapher Xiang Yang and orchestral group Aun J who will perform using classical Japanese instruments.

BEAST Yang Yoseob, who appeared on KBS 2TV school variety ‘100 points out of 100’ aired on the 15th, showed overflowing variety feel.
On this day’s ‘100 points out of 100’, MC Park Myungsoo asked Yang Yoseob “Are you a celebrity” as a joke. BEAST, ‘MY PRINCESS’ OST PARTICIPATION IS RECEIVING ATTENTION
Beast has participated in the OST for the sweet lively romantic comedy ‘My Princess.’
MBC’s Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘My Princess,’ which aired its first episode on the 5th, has revealed its OST which includes idol stars such as Beast and 4Minute.
The title track for the OST of ‘My Princess’ is Beast’s ‘Because of You.’ It showcases Beast’s already established powerful vocals with unexpectedly sweet lyrics, revealing another side to Beast’s charms. Through its excellent composition, each member’s personality can be felt through the division of the parts.
Beast’s Lee Kikwang has also been cast as the chef for Kim Taehee in ‘My Princess,’ attracting more attention.

Recently, the drama’s official me2day posted the following message: “Ki Kwang filmed as the assistant chef at the Royal Court, and was finally able to meet with ‘Princess-nuna’.”
To elaborate on Ki Kwang’s character, a representative explained, “Lee Ki Kwang completed his first filming for the drama, and his role is a unique character who doesn’t hesitate to call Kim Tae Hee, ’Princess nuna’.”

BEAST’S YANG YOSEOB WARNS FANS ABOUT HATEFUL COMMENTS TOWARDS JAEKYUNG, “APOLOGIZE”
Group BEAST’s Yang Yoseob made sure that the netizens will halt the hateful comments.
On the 7th, Yang Yoseob posted via his personal twitter towards the fans, “The scars that I received from the someone who had randomly spat out some comments still hasn’t healed. At the SBS competition corner, GDragon and TOP had appeared on the “court seats” to go against the comments, “I am not a cold city person” and “I am not the type of person who acts cool.
On this day, TOP revealed a situation when Daesung and Hyunseung were mad at Seungri before when the five members of Big Bang and the current BEAST member Jang Hyunseung shared dorms.
During the trainee days, the six people used to go eat Samgeupsal (Korean bacon) after practice and Daesung and Hyunseung were the members that always had to flip the meat as it cooked. However on one day, Daesung and Hyunseung had started to question why they were always the one to cook the meat while the youngest Seungri continued to eat. So after holding it in for several times, Daesung and Hyunseung had made up their mind to complain to Seungri. ‘All My Love’ Waking up Yoon Doojoon ‘there is only one way’..laughter from the details
Yoon Doojoon shows his endless humiliation through his appearance on MBC’s daily sitcom ‘All My Love,’ which is garnering the attention of many.
As a leader of the idol group BEAST, Yoon Doojoon appears as a college-returning student who has a crush on Geumji (Ga In), showing off his pliant acting and adding more liveliness.
In midst of that, Yoon Doojoon doesn’t blink an eye to the harsh criticism around him as everything is OK in his character as long as he has something to eat, displaying a naïve yet ignorant character. He livens his character up through plentiful of details. Each scene he’s in, he manages to make it as funny as possible.
There has also been a similarity that all the characters wake a deep sleeping Doojoon by kicking him with their foot. He received kicks from Ga In from his first appearance as he was chased out into the streets with only his trunks on, which also drew a lot of attention in. later on, when he’s sleeping, he also received kicks from Jo Kwon and his mother (played by Bang Eun Hee).
He also managed to gather laughter in his role of always running with his eyes widening in site of food. Especially when he always carries a spoon in his pocket and wherever he spots food, he repetitively pulls out his spoon simultaneously to him sitting down right away as viewers have said, “He gets funnier the more I watch.”
Aside from this, Yoon Doojoon is head over heels for Ga In and whether it’s him wide his mouth open or scenes of him being attacked by foot odor, he has broken the standard ideas of stars as he’s slowly sweeping away surely as a rookie actor.
Yoon Doojoon also seems as if he’s not in dislike of the attention he received for his acting of humiliating himself. In a recent Money Today Star News interview, Yoon Doojoon said, “I have no fear in humiliating myself” and “I’m having fun in being an actor.”

BEAST duet units will be revealed at ‘M Countdown’ on the 23rd for the first time

It has been confirmed that Mnet ‘Mcountdown’ will be the first stage for the member units of BEAST.
After attracting a lot of hype from their first solo concert for the self composed duet songs in different genres such as hiphop, ballad, R&B, and more, BEAST duet units will be going into their separate schedules. Along with the unveiling of the new tracks, their first stage will be at ‘M Countdown’ on the 23rd.
BEAST’s Doojoon stated, “Since the songs that we released at the concert were popular, we ended up officially getting into our unit group activities. We are all really nervous because this will be the first stage as a BEAST unit group. We hope that many of you will show interests and support us.”

On the episode of MBC ‘Sunday Sunday Night- Hot Brothers’, there was a portion of the show with the theme “Become a model son”, where they made phone calls to their own parents in order to learn about what kind of son they were.
On this day, Lee Kikwang phoned his mother. He said, “These days I have a lot of schedules, it’s tiring. Also, I think I’m bad at acting.” He revealed that he had originally wanted to reject the part in the drama.

Kang Minkyung and Son Dongwoon’s song ‘Udong’ won’t be heard on the main stream media networks
Looks like we won’t be hearing Davichi’s Kang Minkyung and BEAST’s Song Dongwoon’s duet song ‘Udong’ on the main stream media networks.
According to the composers of ‘Udong’, since the title of the song is in Japanese, the main 3 broadcasting networks confirmed that they will not be showing on television.
‘Udong’, the winter season song after Jessica and Park Myungsoo’s ‘Naeng Myeon’, have gave up on a re-evaluation process and it seems that it will only be able to be listened via online.
The composers stated, “Right after we had finished recording the song, we got criticized by the broadcasting people that ‘Udong’ will not be able to be played on the networks.”
‘Udong’ is commonly found in the menus of many different restaurants and there is even the official Korean form of the work ‘Garak Noodles’. However, since they were sued under the word ‘Udong’, the composers have given up on appealing.
